Jocelyn Reints, who goes by Josie, is licensed to practice in South Dakota and is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Josie has been helping people for as long as she can remember, starting out as a Lifeguard and then Certified Nursing Assistant in high school. In May 2009, she graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and, in December 2020, achieved a Masters of Science in Nursing. Both degrees were from Presentation College in Aberdeen. Her nursing degree has provided many areas of experience including: OB/GYN (including labor and delivery), Medical and Surgical floor, Emergency Room, Cardiac Rehab, Clinic, and Health Home coordination. She taught Licensed Practical Nurses at Sisseton Wahpeton College. Most recently, she has worked as Nurse Care Connector for patients with Opioid Use Disorder for the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Health Administration.
In her spare time, she spends time with her son and family. Josie likes to stay active with trying new things, boot camp, and her various sports leagues.
Josie’s will provide services through Asniyapi (Dakota word to heal) Field Health Clinic on the Lake Traverse Reservation. She is looking forward to working with MDHC to provide care to individuals and support for all areas of life. Josie can provide family practice care across the lifespan, as well as specialty services for patients with Opioid Use Disorder through Medication for Addiction Treatment.
