Danielle Rathjen is a Doctorate-prepared Nurse Practitioner who brings both experience and heart to the Modern Day Health Care team in Huron. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from South Dakota State University and completed her undergraduate studies at Dakota Wesleyan University.
Danielle began her healthcare career at Tschetter & Hohm Clinic, where she grew from a new nurse into a trusted nurse practitioner. Her approach to care—centered on compassion, continuity, and community—was deeply influenced by the long-standing providers she worked alongside. When the clinic closed, Danielle and her longtime nurse, Miranda, transitioned together to the HRMC Physicians Clinic, where they have continued to serve patients side by side for the past three years.
Danielle has a passion for helping tweens through adults thrive, with a focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of chronic conditions. She has a special interest in obesity management and works closely with patients to create realistic, sustainable plans for wellness.
Danielle and her family are following God’s call to Fargo, North Dakota, where her husband Rey will serve as lead pastor at Calvary Fargo. Thanks to technology, she’s thrilled to continue serving the Huron community through a blend of in-person visits and telehealth care.
A proud wife and mom of four, when Danielle isn’t caring for patients, you’ll most likely find her cheering from the bleachers at her kids’ events!
