Dr. Mindy Thompson is a board-certified family nurse practitioner licensed to see patients of all ages. Mindy first became a registered nurse in 1999 and progressed through the academic ladder to complete a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Leadership and Healthcare Innovation from the University of Missouri at Columbia and a post-master’s certificate from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri as a family nurse practitioner. Mindy’s healthcare experience ranges from gastroenterology with endoscopy, medical surgical issues, home health, and hospice. Mindy enjoys teaching patients and families about healthcare and believes a treatment plan is a collaborative process between provider and patient.
In addition to working part-time with Modern Day Health Care, Mindy teaches full-time in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Chamberlain University. Mindy has been published and continues to pursue publishing opportunities as well as professional presentation opportunities to continue building and sharing professional knowledge.
